SIGNALETIQUE PMR HANDICAP META
A signage method to smooth out all disabilities.
Who has never desperately searched for the location of a toilet in a train station, a restaurant, or a department store? Who has never taken a wrong turn by misinterpreting the direction of an arrow? Who has never wandered in an admin office looking for the right person to talk to? This is due to faulty or unsuitable signage! Providing intelligent and accessible signage allows us to meet the needs of the 12 million french people living with a disability. Adopting this approach will improve the user experience for all your users!
Public buildings or not.
Métamorphoze has developed a specific methodology called meta handicap for the design and manufacture of all its signage: directional wall signs, door signs, window signs, totem poles…
The meta method, the result of 17 years of research!
Our methodology is based on 4 principles:
Taking into account visual and motor disabilities classified according to the who (color blindness, retinitis pigmentosa, dmla, glaucoma, partial blindness…) is an essential element in the development of a graphic charter dedicated to interior and exterior signage. Our creations follow specific requirements, documented in terms of accessibility, indications and ad hoc recommendations. Our method allows us to develop and capitalize on the “Positive sensitivities” of visually impaired people: hearing, the sense of mass, the tactile sense, the olfactory sense and memorization.
Métamorphoze has developed the “Wireline” approach to ensure a perfect design, interpretation, and implementation of a master plan. It includes the scale of monoyer and of parinaud. As a result, locations are essential and must correspond to a thorough expertise and a rich experience of more than 17 years of practice.
The typography completes the purpose of the signage (to inform, to guide or to promote) and requires a perfect readability whatever the user. The fonts, their colors and sizes must serve as an effective message according to the specifications developed by métamorphoze.
Visual acuity is one of the main criteria for a “Good vision”. It refers to the best ability to distinguish between a test and its background at maximum contrast. Visual acuity is measured using optotypes (drawings, letters…) at maximum contrast, to use it as a test to explore macular function.
