The Saint Joseph nursing home in Strasbourg: a new soul inspired by the Parc de l’Orangerie
At Métamorphoze, we have a strong conviction: each retirement home deserves to be a lively, warm and meaningful place.
Our business goes far beyond decoration. We create real identities of places thanks to our know-how in mural art, custom frescoes, artistic signage, window displays and interior design.
It is with great passion that we recently transformed the Saint Joseph nursing home in Strasbourg, offering it a decoration inspired by one of the city’s treasures: the Parc de l’Orangerie.
The Parc de l’Orangerie is an emblem of the good life in Strasbourg. Its flower-filled gardens, peaceful walkways, lake and picturesque monuments are all symbols of serenity, beauty and local attachment.
We have imagined a wall decoration that echoes this enchanting universe: hand-painted frescoes, emblematic pavilions, romantic bridges, ponds lined with majestic trees, rose garden, bandstand and Joséphine pavilion.
Each wall becomes a window open to nature.
The beauty of the project is not limited to the frescoes. We also designed artistic and plant signage, perfectly integrated into the theme of the park.
Each area is associated with an iconic feature of the park, and soft visual cues allow residents to better find their way around, promoting their independence. Real and stylized plant elements also punctuate the spaces.
The work on the space has been carried out with care: waiting and relaxation areas, family areas, corridors transformed into soothing paths, rest and activity areas redesigned.
The furniture chosen is contemporary, soft, ergonomic and respectful of the specific needs of the residents.
This project is a collective experience felt by all those who walk through the doors of the establishment.
Residents rediscover their daily lives, families are welcomed in a warm setting, and the teams benefit from a more pleasant working environment.
Testimonies: ‘You feel like you’re somewhere else, you feel like you’re walking in the park, it’s alive, it’s beautiful.’
Through this project for the Saint Joseph nursing home, we reaffirm our commitment: to create care spaces that are also spaces for life, exchange, memory and emotion.
Creating places you love is about giving others more than just beauty: it’s about giving you a home.
