On the occasion of the long-awaited opening of the new hospitality lounges at the Stade de la Meinau, we had the immense privilege of creating a collection of monumental murals and contemporary signage to celebrate the history, energy and vision of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace (RCSA).

This extraordinary project — nearly 800 m² of original hand-drawn frescoes — marks a major step in the transformation of the club’s hospitality experience. Each VIP lounge has been designed as a narrative universe : a visual immersion in the founding myths of Racing, in its popular culture, in its victories, in its great figures, but also in the life of the club today.

More than a decoration, it is a staging of identity, designed to strengthen the attractiveness of the place, enhance the sporting and human history of the RCSA, and offer a unique hospitality experience in France.

A large-scale artistic project: 800 m² of murals for a transformed stadium

The new VIP lounges at the Meinau are not just reception areas: they are real spaces for living, meeting and emotion, designed to receive partners, guests, players, families and employees.

To accompany this architectural metamorphosis, we imagined and painted a series of frescoes specially designed for:

  • embody the deep identity of Racing,
  • to highlight the key moments in its history,
  • celebrate the fans,
  • highlight the strong symbols of the club,
  • create a visual unity between the different lounges,
  • and immerse visitors in a coherent, lively and contemporary story.

Each fresco was made by hand, line by line, pattern by pattern, with a graphic precision adapted to the constraints of high-end wallpapers and contemporary furniture carefully selected by the project’s architects.

A living room, a story: a fresco dedicated to each chapter of Racing

In order to give a strong and singular identity to each of the VIP lounges, we have designed a thematic fresco for each space.
Each fair tells a piece of the club’s adventure, like a visual chapter in the Meinau’s ledger.

1. The Origins Fair: “1906, the birth of a myth”

This fresco retraces the creation of the club in 1906.
We can observe:

  • the first teams,
  • makeshift land,
  • period balloons,
  • the first stands,
  • the working-class atmosphere of the Meinau district.

The drawings alternate between sports archetypes, street scenes, and shards of memory.
It is a return to the roots, a tribute to the genesis of a club shaped by its territory.

2. The Progression Show: “Ascend, descend, reborn, grow”

Racing has never had a linear history.
This fresco recounts:

  • the climbs,
  • descents,
  • human reconstructions,
  • the difficult seasons,
  • triumphant returns.

She evokes resilience, team spirit, the club’s ability to always move forward, carried by the unwavering support of its supporters.

3. The Success Show: “Racing’s great victories”

Here, the atmosphere is more festive, more explosive.
We find:

  • trophies,
  • key dates,
  • the emblematic players,
  • the scenes of jubilation in the stands,
  • the effervescence of the Meinau on victory nights.

The shapes are more dynamic, the colors more contrasting.
This mural captures the pure emotion of sport.

4. The Memory Fair: “A popular and collective history”

This fresco focuses on the human history of the club:
Volunteers, educators, young people, historical supporters, families, traditions.

It shows:

  • scarves,
  • flags,
  • stylized songs,
  • silhouettes of supporters,
  • Visual details inspired by the club’s archives.

It shows that Racing is not only a professional club: it is a transgenerational community.

5. The training centre lounge: “The future in motion”

In this space, the fresco gives pride of place:

  • young players,
  • apprenticeship,
  • to the repetition of the gesture,
  • technicality,
  • ambition,
  • to progress.

The lines are more refined, the shapes more geometric, as if to say that the future is built with rigor, constancy and passion.

6. The players’ space: “The place of intimacy, of the collective, of surpassing oneself”

This last fresco is more introspective:
It shows the life of the locker room, the pre-match, the concentration, the routines, but also the camaraderie and collective strength.

The stadium symbols appear differently:
More abstract, more rhythmic, almost like a player’s mental landscape before entering the pitch.

A graphic universe in the form of a hand-drawn fresco: precision, emotion and contemporaneity

All the frescoes were entirely hand-drawn, then declined in contemporary wallpapers.

The objective was to create a graphic identity:

  • unique,
  • elegant,
  • strongly contemporary,
  • and totally aligned with the furniture, materials and light of the new living rooms.

The style is characterized by:

  • fine lines,
  • dynamic composition,
  • discreet references to the architecture of the stadium,
  • reinterpreted pictograms,
  • stylized sports symbols,
  • A deliberately restricted palette to remain elegant and timeless.

The whole composes a sporty, coherent and immersive art gallery.

Contemporary signage: understanding the place, circulating, feeling

In parallel with the frescoes, we have created a complete and coherent signage, designed to:

  • guide visitors,
  • structure flows,
  • Enhance user comfort,
  • and complete the artistic universe.

This signage mixes:

  • modern typography,
  • minimalist symbols,
  • lines inspired by the plots of land,
  • pictograms dedicated to the different spaces.

It offers an immediate and logical reading of VIP lounges, while remaining perfectly integrated into the wall style.

Unique and exceptional trade shows: a strategic asset for Racing

One of the major challenges of this project was to strengthen:

  • the attractiveness of the club,
  • welcoming partners,
  • visitor experience,
  • the perceived quality of hospitality spaces,
  • and the pleasure of circulating in the lounges on match nights.

Thanks to these frescoes and signage, the new VIP lounges become:

• Memorable places

Each salon has its own identity, a specific narrative, a unique atmosphere.

• Enhanced spaces

The fresco is not a decoration but a structuring element, a distinctive sign.

• An identity marker

The salons became a showcase for Racing, a direct expression of its history and vision.

• A powerful relational tool

They strengthen the bond with partners, sponsors, companies and distinguished visitors.

• An HR argument

A place full of meaning, attractive to new employees.

An artistic project at the service of a club, a territory and a collective memory

With this creation of nearly 800 m² of murals and harmonized contemporary signage, we wanted to offer the Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace:

  • a coherent visual narrative,
  • emotional immersion,
  • a strong architectural identity,
  • and a unique hospitality experience in France.

This project is a tribute to Racing, its history, its supporters, its victories and its dreams.
A creation that links the past to the present, art to sport, memory to the future.

Racing Club de Strasbourg now has VIP lounges in its image:
Alive, vibrant, elegant and deeply rooted in its identity.

An extraordinary technique

Our technique for creating and producing hand-painted frescoes is based on a demanding artisanal approach, combined with contemporary graphic research. Each project begins with meticulous illustration work: we draw by hand all the elements that make up the fresco, from the smallest detail to the overall compositions. From these drawings, we create our own brushes, specially designed to translate our textures, strokes, shadows and material effects. These custom brushes allow us to anticipate the final result, experiment with unique styles, and ensure graphic consistency across the entire wall surface.

On site, the production is done entirely by hand, with a brush, roller or plotter, as needed. Digital brushes serve as a guide, but it is the artisanal gesture that brings lines and volumes to life. We work in successive layers: preparatory lines, flat areas, textures, 3D effects, lights and finishes. This method guarantees a precise, lively and authentic rendering.

Each fresco then becomes a unique piece, carrying a strong identity, combining technical mastery, artistic sense and mural know-how.
